About Brian Barrios
Most of Brian’s works are public art installations of large-scale drawings about stories he has gathered in Manila and Valenzuela, spaces where he grew up. Working with acrylic on brown manila paper and pasting these on public walls, Brian’s work is distinct in its insistence on always working with narratives that exist in the contexts where art might be created and installed. This immersion in the narratives of communities is what allows for Brian’s unique visual vocabulary.
